Stewards Follow-Up - ART UNION

Trainer C Dalgety advised Stewards on 21 September that ART UNION has recovered well followings its performance at Addington last Saturday and will continue its campaign in the Hannon Memorial on Sunday with the addition of sliding blinds.

Race 3 Celebrating 40 Years Patrons Cup (2100 metres)

Trainer M Forbes advised Stewards that COSMIC STORM underwent further veterinary examination upon return to his stable which revealed a haematoma on the outside of the right foreleg, further advising that the mare would now be sent for a brief spell.

Trainer R Wells advised Stewards that he was satisfied with the recovery of AFFOGATO, it is now his intention to freshen the gelding prior to racing next.

Trainer K Cameron advised Stewards on 14 September that blood tests taken from MEDUSA subsequent to its performance at Addington last Friday have revealed no abnormalities. Mr Cameron added that the mare has had some treatment to a sore back and a hoof abscess this week in preparation for a resumption at Methven on Sunday.

Stable representative S Ottley advised Stewards on 12 September that as a result of a tendon injury received on 7 September at Winton, the mare has been retired from racing.

Trainer E Latimer advised Stewards on 11 September that x-rays taken from THE PERSUADER following its race at Forbury Park on 3 September have revealed no fracture with the gelding now continuing on its current campaign.
