Media Statement - Lisa Cropp

The Racing Integrity Unit has completed its investigation into Miss Cropp’s random drug testing at the Waipa Racing Club’s meeting at Te Awamutu race course on 27 November. 

As a result Lisa Cropp has been charged under, Rules 801 (1) (g) and (k) of the Rules of Racing.

 801 (1) A person commits a serious racing offence within the meaning of these Rules who: 

(g) hinders or obstructs a Tribunal or NZTR from carrying out or determining an inquiry, investigation, information or proceeding in connection with racing or otherwise under these rules; 

(k) wilfully fails to perform an act ordered by a Tribunal, NZTR, Stipendiary Steward or Investigator to be performed by him.

 Miss Cropp has accepted the charges and indicated she would plead guilty. 

 As the matter is now before the Judicial Control Authority no further comment will be made.
