Licensed trainer Mark Jones contacted Stipendiary Stewards in the days following the disappointing performance of OK COURAGE at Forbury Park TC on the 5th of April 2012. Mr Jones was questioned on the night regarding the performance of this horse which compounded approaching the 650m point. Mr Jones advised that by the morning following the races OK COURAGE had developed a cough and was showing significant nasal discharge. In his opinion the horse would have been incubating this illness at the time of racing which would explain the poor showing. Mr Jones further said that the horse would now be treated prior to being exported to Australia for further racing opportunities.
